Mike' TEAM Summer Program
The Mike's T.E.A.M. (Teaching Excellence by Academic Mentoring) program offers high school students the opportunity to participate in group mentoring with K-6 age students in summer camp. Mike's TEAM mentors help facilitate a lesson that has been planned by the Program Coordinator. These lessons may focus on STEM, the arts, athletics, or social skill-building. Mentors also have the opportunity to plan their own lessons or curricula based on their personal interests and skills. Additionally, while not required, some mentors also choose to lead fundraisers or supply drives to benefit Mike’s TEAM; this helps them receive additional service hours and broadens their experience. Mike's TEAM will be held during the following times this summer:
Tuesdays 3:30- 5:00 PM at the New Castle Boys & Girls Club
Wednesdays 3:30- 5:00 PM at the H. Fletcher Brown Boys & Girls Club
This opportunity is open to high school students. You must have completed 9th grade. It is also open to students who have recently graduated.
Interested volunteers should fill out the application at www.bgclubs.org/get-involved/volunteer
