Volunteer Delaware

Volunteer Delaware staff provide volunteer referral service, technical assistance, and other resources to those in the field of volunteer management. Volunteer Delaware oversees the Volunteer Delaware Webpage, Volunteer Delaware Facebook page and Volunteer Delaware Twitter account.  The Volunteer Delaware webpage assists programs with recruiting volunteers and the ability to post new and upcoming volunteer opportunities.  Volunteers can register on the site and perform a search to look for opportunities using keywords to define their search and zip code to match your needs and interests. Best part, it is free and easy to use!

Volunteer Delaware Hosts Three Events Yearly

    • Annual Volunteer Delaware Conference

    • Governor’s Outstanding Youth Volunteer Awards

    •  Governor’s Outstanding Adult Volunteer Awards

Delaware Volunteer Credit

The staff from Volunteer Delaware also work with local high school students offering the prestigious Delaware Volunteer Credit. High School Students can earn elective high school credit while giving back to their communities.

Students in grades 9 through 12 in participating schools can earn one elective high school credit towards graduation by completing 90 hours of community service.  This program serves as a way to help young people build portfolios for college entrance, compete for scholarships, or attain employment.
